We recently received a wonderful update from the Gudino family, our missionaries serving in Mexico. In January, their son Daniel took a significant step of faith by choosing to be baptized. This was the first baptism of their new church plant.

The church gathered at a nearby river to celebrate together. It was also the first time many members of the church had ever witnessed a Christian baptism, and God used the experience to deeply challenge and encourage their hearts. The missionaries are praying for another baptism this summer as God continues to work.

Sharing stories like Daniel’s encourages all of us.

“Praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.” Acts 2:47

A group from BMW recently traveled to Spain, and their time there was incredible! They spent several days with our missionaries, seeing firsthand all that God is doing through their ministry in Barcelona.⁠

Joe is an experienced, relational leader with a deep love for the Gospel and a gift for bringing the right people together for the right reasons. On our VP Service Team, he will listen closely to our missionaries and Area Leaders, discern where God is opening new doors, and help mobilize people into those opportunities with clarity and purpose. He will identify strategic gaps we have not yet stepped into and connect them with men and women ready to serve with their skills, time, prayer, and resources.

He will also serve on the South Pacific regional team, an area of the world where he grew up, helping to strengthen ministry partnerships and mobilize the church to expand the reach of the Gospel.

After leaving Nagoya, the team traveled across Japan on the Shinkansen, meeting with local pastors and joining a multi-church gathering to share BMW’s heart for the nation.⁠

The European Youth Advance recently gathered in Scotland for six days of encouragement and fellowship for missionary teens.
Alongside biblical teaching, the retreat was filled with tubing, games, singing, laughter, and special times of fellowship. As they return to their respective countries, we pray they do so encouraged and renewed in their walk with Christ.

Recently, a BMW team in Odesa was able to attend a service hosted by a local church for the blind community. Even with ongoing power outages, the church continued the service using generators.

During the service, one woman shared her grief and asked difficult questions after losing her grandson in the war. The church did not rush past her pain, but listened and walked with her through that moment.

After the service, the church distributed food parcels, fruit, and spoken Bible sets to those in attendance. It was a clear picture of how a healthy local church continues to serve its community…offering both practical help and spiritual care in the middle of war.

We want to share an urgent need from our missionaries, the Philbricks, who serve at Synergy International Christian School in Spain. Even after carefully managing every resource, the school was unable to finish paying its teachers’ basic salaries this month. They have been praying and are asking us to join them in seeking God’s provision.⁠

The photo we’re sharing was taken in October during a faculty prayer meeting. Synergy has 24 teachers and staff who currently serve at the school.⁠

The missionaries on the field, Matt and Ellen Bjerk, and their team hosted four camps: two kids’ camps, a teen camp, and a young adult camp. They also hosted a baptism service and a volleyball tournament, welcoming a total of around 140 campers. ⁠
⁠
It was amazing to see how God moved through their ministry, saving lives and helping young people grow in their faith and understand their responsibility to serve Christ.⁠
⁠
During teen camp, two young men who had trusted Christ at previous events publicly shared their testimonies and were baptized. ⁠
⁠
The camp leaders have poured so much into these kids over the years. Please pray that both the young men and the other previous campers continue to grow in their faith.⁠
