How to Intern Potential Missionaries
In addition to theological training, potential missionaries need practical experience. The church is God’s vehicle for discipling new missionaries in an environment of learning, accountability, and service. In this short video you’ll learn of the approach of one church that used an informal and relational internship program, two years in length, based upon three key principles of training, evaluation, and affirmation of their call to be a missionary. You’ll also hear of five strategies that form the core of the internship. Additionally, the testimony of an intern who has completed the internship attests to the positive impact on his life.
Every church is unique and, no doubt, your internship program will be different than the one described. At the same time, you can get some solid ideas that will meet your needs by clicking on the link below. May God bless your equipping of the next generation of Christian workers.
