Daily Kindness Opens a Door
A young man in his twenties fled his home country to arrive in Europe. It was no easy trip. He fled on foot, eventually ending up adrift on the sea in a small, crowded boat. He and the others were rescued before the boat sank. He finally made his way to our home town. He lives meagerly but has worked hard to learn the language here. We helped him find a private high school from which he graduated and then began training in electronics. He has been a great help to his widowed mother and siblings who have come to live with him. We have helped the entire family in various ways. Because of this we were able to give this young man a Bible, and he is reading it willingly. Because of his religious background, it will be difficult for him to accept that Jesus is the Son of God. There are others here who have come to know Christ who also speak his mother tongue. We pray God will use these people to help us reach this young man, and others, for Christ. What a witness they could be here and in their own homeland!
