R & J CBC Bible Camp Fund - Canadian Donations

Rick and Jammie Lynn Mikesh and their 6 children serve the Lord among Canada's First Nations Aboriginal children, youth, and families in the remote Greenstone region of NW Ontario. They planted Community Baptist Church in 2012 and began Waasayaa North Ministries in 2016. The primary focus of Waasayaa North Bible Camp is to bring the clear gospel message to children and youth from Greenstone's six First Nations communities and others from remote, fly-in communities as well. This growing summer camp ministry has outgrown the current facility in use.

In late 2022, God opened a clear door of opportunity for Community Baptist Church to purchase 300 acres of undeveloped pristine forest bordering two lakes. The location is truly IDEAL for the development of Waasayaa North Bible Camp! Community Baptist Church closed on the property in February 2023 and with the remarkable blessing of countless volunteers, much work was completed last year!  By June 2023, the 1 km road was built into the camp location, and 6 acres were cleared.  From July - October, concrete was poured and the 44'x120' Lodge was framed and constructed.  The Lodge is the main hub of the camp housing the chapel, dining/activity area, kitchen, nurses quarters, mechanical room, and showers.

Through your faithful giving, God has brought us into the third and final phase of construction.  Our prayer is to be operational by summer, 2025 - but we have a BIG year ahead of us in 2024!  We currently have a generous $160,000, dollar-for-dollar matching gift and we are trusting the Lord to raise the funds to match this gift and provide the additional, needed funds to finish the camp in 2024.   We have a big task ahead of us, and we are asking you to join us in prayer and in financial partnership as the Lord may so lead!
