Pray that God would exalt His name and extend His kingdom
in Tai Wai and Tuen Mun, New Territories, Hong Kong.
"Our Father who is in heaven, hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven."
Matthew 6:9-10

May-June 2008

  1. Praise the Lord for good Easter Mission meetings of local sister churches. The meetings were well attended and challenging to believers.
  2. Thanks for your prayers for our Hong Kong works in Tai Wai (Hebron) and Tuen Mun (Faith). We are coming to the end of the school year and that always means gearing up for a busy summer season of ministry. Please pray for plans as we prepare. Pray that there are enough helpers to make the programs at Faith and Hebron fruitful in the lives of all of our people. Continue to pray for the growth of these 2 church plants.
  3. The Perrott's and the Ho's both have furloughs scheduled for later this summer. The Ho's are planning a short time in the US and the Perrotts will be away for 12 months. Please pray for both families as this is a hectic time for them. Please also pray for the church plants in the absence of their pastors. Please be in prayer for the provision of a man to lead Hebron Baptist Church from August through December.
  4. Please pray for Faith Baptist Church as they have an opportunity to rent the room next to their larger room and this could be used for Sunday School. They are located in an office high rise in Tuen Mun and the extra rent would be a challenge for them, but the offer is a good one. Please pray for Pastor Ho and the people of the church to have wisdom to know what the Lord would have them do.
  5. Please pray for several members of Faith Baptist that are studying at Bob Jones in preparation for ministry here in the church plants in Hong Kong. Pray for their walk with the Lord and their diligence in studies. Pray that they will have a clear indication of the Lord's leading in their lives.
  6. Praise the Lord for a Chinese Sunday School teacher for Hebron's Children's Sunday School. Please pray that more and more we are able to train the Chinese to take leadership in the ministries at Hebron.
  7. Praise the Lord for recent opportunities to counsel children at the Hebron Center. Praise Him also for the many opportunities there have been to have regular devotion times with the classes during the week. Pray that we are sensitive to what the Lord is doing in the spiritual lives of our students and their parents.

March-April 2008

  1. Please continue praying for 21/22 March Easter Camp that will have members of several local, cooperating churches in our fellowship participating. Our speaker will be coming from India. Please pray for his safety in traveling and for firm decisions to be made for the Lord during the special meetings.
  2. Continue to pray for preparations for the Easter Evangelistic meeting at Faith Baptist Church, March 23.
  3. Please pray for the Perrott family, as they have been very ill with colds and flu for over a month.
  4. Pray for the Hos and for Victor's father in Singapore, who has been quite ill recently.
  5. Praise the Lord for full classes at Hebron Community Center in Tai Wai for the second semester. This will provide stable income for the ministries of the Center and the Church in Tai Wai, but more importantly, give new contacts for the Gospel. There are a number of new students and their families who have registered in this last month. Pray that as we share devotions in each class that there will be fruit among our students. Pray that we will be good stewards of all these the Lord has sent our way. Again we thank the Lord for our manager Miss Ares and her hard, skillful work with the students and schedules. Pray for Roger Perrott and Linda Reynolds as they teach the students each week.
  6. Pray for both the work at Faith in Tuen Mun and Hebron in Tai Wai, as both works are short of workers...yet both ministries are expanding. Pray for the Hos and the Perrotts as they are preparing for furloughs. The Hos will be away from Hong Kong July 15-August 31. The Perrotts will leave sometime in August 2008 and return in August 2009.
  7. Praise the Lord for a new family that the Lord has brought to our team. Matthew and Michelle Conrad and their 2 young daughters are raising their support now with the hope that they can arrive in HK for a six month internship by the end of this year. Thanks for praying.
  8. Please continue to pray for the salvation of men here in Hong Kong.

February-March 2008

  1. Please pray for Easter Camp March 21-22... there will be an emphasis on missions. Pray for Johnson George, missionary in India, as he comes to challenge the people of churches from our fellowship here. Pray that Christians will catch the vision of sharing their faith widely, effectively and consistently.
  2. Pray for preparations for the Easter Evangelistic meeting at Faith Baptist Church, March 23.
  3. Please pray for wisdom in the hiring of a clerk for Faith Baptist Church in Tuen Mun.
  4. Pray for spiritual and ministry training/development of church members for both Faith and Hebron Baptist.
  5. Pray for fruit from the Open Air evangelism the last Sunday of February in Tuen Mun. Pray that souls would be saved.
  6. Pray for the salvation of teen boys who attend the Bible Studies at Hebron Baptist in Tai Wai.
  7. Pray that the Lord will give wisdom and direction in reaching men in Tai Wai New Village with the gospel.
  8. Pray for new believers at Hebron Baptist who are preparing for baptism. Pray that they will grow in their faith as they take this first step of obedience.

December 2007-January 2008

  1. Pray for the ongoing ministries in Tai Wai's Hebron Baptist and Faith Baptist in Tuen Mun. Especially pray as the Christmas season comes. Pray that there will be many who will hear the Gospel message and will have their spiritual eyes opened to God's truth this Christmas.
  2. Praise the Lord for the number of students that come to the Hebron Community Center's Homework Helps sessions each day Monday - Saturday. Pray for Pastor Perrott and Ares as they carry the load of work this Fall (Linda is away for a 4-month furlough).
  3. Pray for the salvation of the teen boys who meet on alternate Fridays for Bible Study. Pray that they will see their need for a Savior and trust in Christ. Pray for the Good News Club and the children who attend on Fridays. Pray for much fruit.
  4. Pray for energy and encouragement for the workers. The work is not easy and there is much to do. There is resistence to the Gospel in much of what is done.
