TOULOUSE, FRANCE

Click to enlargeFor the past five years, two families with BMW have worked closely with the French national church and the believing North Africans in Toulouse, France, for the purpose of learning and building a strong foundation for future ministry. Their vision would be to see this new community reproduce itself in different parts of Toulouse, other cities in France, and in the homelands of those who would be called to return to their country of origin.

Until now, the bulk of their time has been spent in building bridges into people's lives so as to make contacts for the sake of the gospel. They are currently in the very early stages of starting a multi-cultural church primarily made up of the minority populations living in the city. They will soon be moving forward with plans to launch a small group Bible study that will form the nucleus of this first church plant.

LABORERS FOR THE FIELD

The team in Toulouse needs individuals and families to help them continue making contacts in order to launch other church plants. They need dedicated people with servant hearts who are willing to pour out their lives into other men and women so that a very needy sector of society can be reached with the gospel.

Students can come to study for a year or more on the university campus of Toulouse, the second largest in all of France. This would open up more avenues of ministry for those who are here long term. Finishers who take their retirement early in the U.S. or Canada can come to support the larger team, help in teaching, and even use their trade to minister to others.

Are you willing to let God stretch your faith and use your life for His purposes in reaching a very needy place? Why not ask Him and abandon your life to Him?

Jim Elliot once said, "God always gives His best to those who leave the choice with him."

You can come long-term to help make contacts through:

  • Playing organized sports and pick up games
  • Opening up your home to others
  • Helping others with your handyman skills
  • Taking classes in university
  • Getting involved in club activities
  • Meeting people for coffee
  • Giving out Bibles and other materials
  • Hiking/camping/backpacking
  • and many other ways!

With the start of local churches comes the need to build into people's lives. You can come long-term to disciple new believers through:

  • Personal involvement in life on life mentoring
  • Bible teaching for small group studies
  • Preaching and teaching others how to preach
  • Music and your willingness to develop others
  • Putting into practice your giftedness
  • And many other ways!
