"Evangelism Ministry"
About
Our Ministry
"I
am lost!" These were the words a young man spoke to
Jim after hearing him preach. "For the Son of man is come to
seek and to save that which was lost." Luke 19:10 was the text
for the message. This young man was under conviction and Jim had
the joy of leading him to the Lord. Oh that more young people in
England would see themselves as spiritually lost, needing a Saviour!
"Who
are you? What church are you with?" asked a man at
the doorstep. Jim explained the church invitation that he was distributing
in the neighborhood. The man, a Christian, was grateful that a fellow
believer would be giving out the Gospel door to door. He said he
would make sure his son received the invitation and asked prayer
for the young man's salvation.
Never
underestimate God's power using paper & ink...
Church invitations, special event fliers, literature offering
free DVDs' or booklets are only some of the materials placed in
people's letterboxes. This direct approach to homes is a great freedom!
Families have come to church, and individuals have trusted Christ
as their Savior as a result of an invitation through their door.
There is still an opening in the door!
"That
graveyard is where I will end up." The man from the
walking club made this statement as they passed by the parish church
where he was married, his children were christened, and his father
is buried. Jim had the privilege of sharing his faith with him for
the rest of the walk. This is a brief window of opportunity that
the Lord opened.
About
Us
Jim
& Patty have been in England 27 years. They worked in a church
planting ministry in Northampton using various outreach methods
for most of those years. They have moved to East Anglia to join
their co-workers in church planting and church restoration ministries.
Their main emphasis is evangelism. They meet people through camera
club, walking club, and neighborhood watch where they develop friendships
that open into opportunities to share the Gospel.
"Who
then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers through whom you
believed as the Lord gave to each one? I planted, Apollos watered,
but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything,
nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. Now he who plants
and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward
according to his own labor." (I Corinthians 3:5-8).
