BMW'S DIRECTORS
DAVE BROWN, Area Director
After
working as a litigation attorney in the Philadelphia area for seven
years and serving in the local church, David, his wife Karin, and
their four children joined BMW's church planting team in Johannesburg,
South Africa in 1994. They trained emerging pastors, church planters
and church leaders while planting Sandton Bible Church. In 1999,
David began serving as BMWs Area Director for Europe, overseeing
missionaries serving in eight European countries. The Browns also
started a church in their Atlanta neighborhood. In 2004, the Browns
returned to Johannesburg to assist the Sandton church in planting
its daughter churches, to coordinate new outreaches, and oversee
BMW's work and missionaries in South Africa.
JIM BROWN, Administrative Director
After
graduating from Dallas Theological Seminary, Jim and his wife Betty
invested nine years in ministry with Arctic Missions, Inc. working
with Indians, Aleuts, and Eskimos. Jim served as a teacher, pastor
and an institute administrator. After leaving Alaska, Jim served
as Dean and Instructor of the Sacramento Bible Institute in Sacramento,
CA. He also became the founding pastor-teacher for the Cornerstone
Fellowship Bible Church in Riverside, CA.
MARK CHANDLER, Area Director
Mark
Chandler grew up in a variety of places in the mid-west. After marrying
his high school sweetheart, Patti, they both trusted Christ as their
Savior while living in Ohio. Mark has an MA from Southeastern Bible
College and has served the Lord as church planter, Christian school
teacher, Christian school principal/ administrator and pastor. He
has served as pastor of First Baptist Church in Dacula, GA for the
last 17 years. Mark joined BMW as a member of the Advisory Board
and has been serving as a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman
of the Personnel Committee. He stepped down from this position in
2003 to serve as BMW's Area Director for England, Ireland, &
Scotland.
DOMINIC GONINO, Area Director
Dominic
graduated from Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music in Michigan.
He took 3 years of under graduate training and 2 years of post-graduate
training as a pastoral major. He married his wife Elaine, in 1981.
They have 2 children, Nathan born in 1982 and Karissa born in 1986.
Dominic & Elaine have served with BMW since 1982. Their field
of ministry has involved church planting amongst the Mormons
in Idaho & Utah. They have served in several different locations
in the church planting efforts on the field. Since 1996 Dominic
has also served as the field leader by leading the church planting
team in Mormon land before stepping in as area director in 2005.
He is presently still pastoring the church that he most recently
planted in Liberty, Utah. As area director, he oversees the various
ministries within the continental United States.
ROB
HEIJERMANS, Area Director
Rob
Heijermans was born in The Netherlands to missionary parents and
grew up in the Philadelphia area. After graduating from Lancaster
Bible College (1977) in Lancaster, PA he married his wife Donna,
and in 1979 they went to Nova Scotia, Canada. They and their children
were involved in church planting there for 19 years. In 1998 the
Heijermanses moved to Atlanta where Rob serves as Area Director
for the Americas (Canada, Central & South America, and the
Caribbean) and works with the Board of Directors of BMW Canada.
Rob and Donna have three children.
FRED
JANSOHN, Director of Member Care
Fred
is originally from Florida and grew up in the Eastern United States.
He started in the computer field as an electronic engineer and soon
married Kathleen who is from New Jersey. They were married in 1980
and have 3 children. In 1988 they began their missionary training
with New Tribes Mission and served with them in Guinea, West Africa
until 1998 when Kathleen became ill and they had to return to the
States. After an extended medical furlough and a few years of recovery,
the Lord led them to join the administrative team at Biblical Ministries
Worldwide in 2005. Fred is the Director of Member Care at
the home office of BMW in Lawrenceville, where his focus is developing
and leading a program of comprehensive, sustainable member care
to uphold and nurture our mission personnel from recruitment to
retirement. Fred is currently working on a master's degree in Biblical
Counseling.
BILL
LAKE, Area Director
Born
on a dairy farm in southeastern Ohio, Bill grew up in the Cambridge,
Ohio area. After his conversion at the age of 18, Bill attended
Appalachian Bible College where he met his first wife Helen. After
graduation in 1970, Bill served as pastor of Faith Chapel in Carlisle,
PA, for four and a half years. Bill
joined Biblical Ministries Worldwide in 1974. After nine months
of deputation, Bill moved his young family to New Zealand where
they ministered for 16 years. He returned to the United States in
1991 to serve as a college representative for BMW. In 1995, Bill
was appointed as Pacific Area Director. Bill
has five children (4 of which are married) and seven grandchildren.
His wife Helen of 34 years went home to be with the Lord in January
2005. The Lord provided Bill with another helpmate, Deborah, and
they were married May 27, 2006. Together, they will serve the missionaries
of the Pacific.
STEVEN
LOUIE, Director of Communications
Steve
was born and raised in California - the seventh of eight kids. He
pursued the field of architecture until the Lord saved him (as a
teenager) and led him to Bible college and the ministry. After graduating
from Appalachian Bible College, Steve served 11 years as a missionary
pastor at his home church and sister churches in Northern California.
In 2005, Steve and his wife (Joyce) moved to Georgia to use their
administrative skills to serve at BMW's home office. In his role
as Director of Communications, Steve now enjoys combining
both his love for art and his love for ministry to serve BMW and
its missionaries.
CLARK MACAULAY, Director of Training
Clark
was not raised in a Christian home and was not exposed to the Gospel.
He pursued a career in the computer industry after graduating with
a BSEE and followed up with a MBA 10 years later. His responsibilities
included sales, technical training, and leadership development.
Partly as a result of the unexpected death of his first wife, Lynn,
Clark was drawn, by the grace of God, to a saving knowledge of Jesus
Christ as his Savior at the rather late age of 42 years old. From
that point on, Clark has been a Bible teacher in the local church
while finishing his secular career. At age 58, Clark sensed the
Lord was calling him to a full-time position with BMW as the Director
of Training and pursued a Masters in Biblical Studies, which
was completed in 2003, to strengthen his theological foundation.
Joining BMW full-time in 2005, Clarks responsibilities include
providing a complete menu of training and development services to
the entire BMW family. In addition, Clark collaborates with Jerry
Smith (Church Relations), in providing training services to the
local churches in the Companion Church Concept program. By
the grace of God, Clark met and married Tricia in 1986 who continues
in her career working with mentally and physically challenged children
in the public school system.
DAVE ROZELLE, Director of Advancement
Dave
Rozelle was raised in a Christian home, where his parents were active
in Church planting. He graduated from New Brunswick Bible Institute
and was married in 1973. They went to Austria with Worldwide European
Fellowship in 1975, learned German and then in 1977 were transferred
to Luxembourg. Dave pastored an English work while starting a Luxembourgish
ministry there. He became fluent in Luxembourgish and German while
ministering there for 13 years. In 1990, he was redirected to Scotland
and served as the Field Leader there until 2002. His first wife
passed away early in 1999 and he later remarried. From August of
2002 to January of 2007 Dave served as the US Director of another
mission agency with workers in South America. Upon return to Biblical
Ministries Worldwide, Dave was appointed the Director of Advancement.
STEVE RYGH, Director of Finance and Operations
Steve
Rygh grew up ice skating on the ponds and ice rinks around the Chicago
suburbs. Although he grew up Catholic, Steve trusted Christ as a
teenager. After graduating from Bob Jones Universtiy (1988) and
passing the CPA exam (1990), Steve worked for several years in both
public accounting and private industry in South Carolina, most notably
with Deloit & Touche. In the summer of 1991, Steve and his wife
Marcia joined BMW and serve at BMW's international headquarters.
The Ryghs now have four children. Steve Rygh currently oversees
the finances and operations of Biblical Ministries Worldwide.
PAUL
SEGER, General Director
Paul
Seger grew up as a missionary child in Nigeria. After graduating
from Appalachian Bible College and Faith Baptist Bible College,
he served as assistant pastor at Community Baptist Church in Reidsville,
North Carolina. In 1975, Paul and his wife, Joan, were accepted
as missionaries with Biblical Ministries Worldwide. For seventeen
years Paul planted churches among the European population in South
Africa. He was involved in the process of starting three churches
and training pastors through the Church Ministries Institute. In
March 1994, he became the General Director of Biblical Ministries
Worldwide. He and his family relocated to BMW's International Office
in the Atlanta area. His son Ryan and daughter Joanna have finished
college and also live in the Atlanta area. Along with his duties
as General Director, Paul also serves as Area Director of Europe
and Honduras.
JERRY
SMITH, Director of Church Relations
Jerry
Smith grew up in a pastors home near Memphis, Tennessee, where
he trusted Christ as a child. After graduating from Bryan College
and Dallas Theological Seminary, he and his wife Amy served in pastorates
in Louisiana and taught at Word of Life Bible Institute and Citadel
Bible College. They joined Biblical Ministries Worldwide in 1980.
Jerry coordinates the Companion Church Concept and is the
Director of Church Relations.
